New 'print friendly' button added to sites

Screen grab of the printfriendly page

We've added a new big, bold, green button to our three sites to enable you to print the pages you are reading. It allows you to edit out any content you don't want, leaving in only the elements you require. It's called Print Friendly, and is the green button in the line of buttons below.

You will see it on the home page of our sites and at the foot of every article.

The feature will be particularly useful for those followers of Hertfordshire Walker who want to print out the route maps and directions for our 60+ local country walks.

It will also be helpful for those who want to print off material from our local history site, the North Mymms History Project.

Once you have clicked on Print Friendly you will be taken to another page where you can simply remove the elements you don't want. All you have to do is click on the paragraph or image you don't want and delete it. A great way of cutting down on the number of pages you print.

The other buttons in the line are for Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Tumbler, Blogger, Google Plus, and Pinterest. The blue plus button takes you through to long list of all the other social media sharing options you might be signed up to.

Please let us know what you think of the new button. There is a contact form at the bottom right of every page.
