Christmas comes early to Brookmans Park

Christmas fayre and carols around the tree

Two festive events take place in Brookmans Park on Saturday December 1, and both are free of charge. The first is the popular community Christmas Fayre held at Brookmans Park primary school. That's followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree on Brookmans Park's Bradmore Green.

The Christmas Fayre opens at 14:00 and closes at 17:00, and is immediately followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree on the green. That event gets underway from 17:15.

Organisers of the fayre, which is now in its seventh year, say it will feature "quality gifts, crafts, toys, beauty products, homeware, and children's games and activities".

There will be a variety of refreshments, which those behind the event say will include "our delicious roast chicken, stuffing and cranberry rolls"

A handful of stalls are still available from £27. You can book a stall or find our more by emailing fayre@nmyouth.org.uk.

According to Brookmans Park Rotary, there will be Christmas carols around the tree, free mulled wine, hot chocolate, and mince pies.

Santa and his sleigh will be there, along with two of the stars from the Wyllyotts panto 'Jack and the Beanstalk', who will perform the switch-on.
