The bench has been paid for by North Mymms Parish Council (NMPC) at a total cost of £971.40 (£809.50 + VAT).
NMPC applied to Hertfordshire County Council for a Locality Budget Grant to cover the cost. The grant was approved and monies have been received.
The initiative is part of the Local Government Association's national campaign Battle's Over – A Nation’s Tribute.
