Ticket office broken into, ticket machine damaged

British Transport police have been taking fingerprint dustings inside Brookmans Park station ticket office following a burglary overnight. The ticket window has been cordoned off while investigations continue.

Great Northern staff are on hand to help travellers buy tickets. The ticket machine was also damaged, but, according to staff, is still working.

Investigators on the scene were unable to give details about what has been taken or the damage inside the ticket office.

The metal grill that protects the ticket office window when closed had been prised off its hinges.
