CCTV images of local vehicle crime wanted

Police say Brookmans Park and Welham Green targeted

Police are asking the public to contact them if they have any CCTV images of theft or attempted theft from vehicles on their properties. The appeal follows a number of incidents in Brookmans Park and Welham Green in recent days.

Officers say they are investigating reported vehicle crime in the area over the last few days and are hoping some local residents might have CCTV footage that could help identify the offenders.

The local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), Samantha Griffin is asking local residents who have a CCTV camera on their property to check the images and contact her if they notice anything suspicious.

PCSO Griffin is also reminding local residents of the obvious precautions to take against vehicle theft such as not leaving valuables or documents in the vehicle, making sure it’s locked, and setting the immobiliser and alarm if installed.
