There’s been another spate of fly-tipping along Bradmore Lane, this time it’s two piles of tree cuttings and other garden waste.
Do you recognise it? Could someone have been working on your garden and removed similar waste? And did you know that home owners have a duty of care to check that anything removed from their property is disposed of legally?

“House-holders need to ensure that unscrupulous builders or gardeners don’t fly tip any waste taken from their properties. It is your responsibility to ask the contractor what they intend to do with your rubbish, ask to see their waste carrier registration and seek proof that they are going to dispose of it legally. If in doubt check their details with the Environment Agency.”The Environment Agency website has details of how people should register or renew as a waste carrier, broker or dealer.
