Local library needs volunteers

Two hours a fortnight “would be a great help”

The public library on Brookmans Park’s Bradmore Green is looking for volunteers who would be willing to give two hours of their time a fortnight to ensure the popular facility continues.

There are fears that the library could close if enough local helpers are not found.

Almost 75 years serving the community

The Hertfordshire County Council library on Bradmore Green opened 73 years ago in 1946. It is describe by the county council as a “community library” which is being “run in partnership with Brookmans Park Library Volunteers”.

But it seems there are not enough of those volunteers to cover all the library's needs. And volunteer steering group, which is on Twitter @BPlibvolunteers, would like to hear from anyone who is willing to help. Details of how to contact the team are set out in the poster below. Full training will be given.
