The Welham Green Friendship Group has announced the dates for the five remaining meetings for 2019. The social gatherings are held once a month on Tuesday mornings at the Sibthorpe Arms, Welham Green starting at 11am.

The dates for the next meetings are 13 August, 10 September, 8 October, 12 November, and 10 December.

The group has been set up by Welham Green and Hatfield South Councillor Jaida Caliskan because she is concerned that the affect of loneliness and social isolation on some local residents is being overlooked.

Admission is free-of-charge, although a voluntary contribution of £2 is requested to cover the cost of the tea, coffee and biscuits provided by the landlady of the Sibthorpe.

According to Cllr Caliskan, the friendship group is now regularly atended by more than 20 people although one meeting attracted 60.

If you know anyone who might enjoy joining in but who is not online please let them know about the meetings.

Cllr. Jaida Caliskan has invited anyone who has any questions about the group to contact her on 07517 991595 or via email at Jaida.caliskan@welhat.gov.uk.

If you would like to join the group as a guest speaker Cllr Caliskan would like to hear from you.
