Incident caused earlier train disruption
Hertfordshire police were called to an incident at Brookmans Park this morning following concern for the “welfare of a person on the tracks”.
At 5.39am police tweeted that they were dealing with an incident between Potters Bar and Brookmans Park.
We are attending a report of concern for welfare of a person on the tracks. All trains remain stopped. Please check with your service provider as there will be disruption to travel this morning. @GNRailUK— Herts Police (@HertsPolice) July 15, 2019
A police helicopter had been circling over the southern end of Brookmans Park at about the same time as the reported incident.UPDATE: A person has been safely taken off the tracks following this incident. Trains are now running again, but please check with your service provider as there may still be delays. The helicopter flew in a clockwise direction over Bluebridge Road, Moffats Lane, Gobions Open Space, and Leach Fields several times before hovering for five to 10 minutes over Bluebridge Avenue and then heading off to the south around 5.45am.
