48 reported crimes in North Mymms in August

13 incidents of ‘violence and sexual offences’

The August 2019 crime figures for North Mymms show that 48 incidents were reported during the month, five more than in July.

There were 30 reported crimes in the Welham Green area, 11 more than the previous month, and seven reported crimes in Brookmans Park, 10 fewer than in July.

‘Violence and sexual offences’

The most commons crime in North Mymms was ‘violence and sexual offences’, with 13 incidents being investigated, including nine in Welham Green, and four in Brookmans Park.

According to Hertfordshire police, the category ‘violence and sexual offences’ includes “offences against the person such as common assaults, grievous bodily harm and sexual offences”.

The figures, taken from the Hertfordshire Constabulary database for the Welwyn Hatfield south area, show a total of 269 reported crimes compared with 291 the previous month.
