All the pupils from Brookmans Park Primary School took a walk around Gobions this week as part of a day of activity aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues.

After a nature walk the youngsters returned to school to fashion autumnal decorations for a temporary display to be pinned to some of the trees in Brookmans Park village centre.

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is observed every year on 10 October. According to the World Health Organisation the overall objective is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilise efforts in support of mental health. This year’s theme is suicide prevention.

In a post on the Brookmans Park Local News And Events Facebook page, the headteacher at Brookmans Park Primary School, Aileen Davies describes how the pupils marked the event.
