Dates announced for festive fayre and tree lighting

This year’s Christmas Fayre at Brookmans Park Primary School takes place on Saturday 30 November. The traditional lighting of the tree ceremony on Bradmore Green follows the event.

Organisers say there will be a range of stalls at the fayre selling “artisan food and gifts including crafts, accessories, jewellery, art, bags, spa produces, Christmas trees, lights and decorations, and toys”.

There will also be a tombola, raffle and games, and the chance to win cash prizes and a luxury break in Wales.

Refreshments will be served at Santa’s Cafe including cakes, snacks, mulled wine and other drinks.

The Brookmans Park Christmas Fayre, now in its 8th year, is organised by the North Mymms Youth Project to raise fund for its activities. Entry is free of charge. The event runs from 2pm to 5pm.

The lighting of the Christmas tree on Bradmore Green from 5.15pm to 7pm is organised by the local branch of Rotary. There’ll be the usual carols round the tree, a brass band, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and mince pies.
