Another power cut affected the area on Thursday morning, 24 October, the second outage in a week. Some local circuits tripped out twice. By 8:50am 14 customers had called UK Power Networks complaining of a loss of power.

It was estimated the supply would be restored between 9:30am and 10:30am. The reference number issued for the incident by UK Power Networks is INCD-115967-Z. The incident can be tracked on the UK Power Networks site.

Engineers on the scene say the issue is a fault on the high voltage network.
“Initially power to 1197 properties properties was interrupted. However, by rerouting electricity in the area, currently 168 customers are still affected.”
Two power cuts happened late Sunday night, 20 October, and in the early hours of Monday 21 October, affecting large parts of southern Hertfordshire and further afield.
