66 reported crimes in North Mymms in October

20 incidents of violence and sexual offence

The October 2019 crime figures for North Mymms show that 66 incidents were reported during the month, 17 more than in September.

The most commons crime in North Mymms was violence and sexual offence, with 20 incidents being investigated, double the number in September, including nine reports in Welham Green, three in Brookmans Park, and six on Shepherds Way near Queenswood.

Violence and sexual offences have been the most reported crime in five of the past six months, with a total of 91 incidents investigated since May.

In October there were a total of 30 reported crimes in the Welham Green area, and 12 reported crimes in the Brookmans Park area.

The figures, taken from the Hertfordshire Constabulary database for the Welwyn Hatfield south area, show a total of 300 reported crimes compared with 250 the previous month.

  • Other theft: Includes theft by an employee, blackmail and making off without payment.

  • Violence and sexual offences: Includes offences against the person such as common assaults, grievous bodily harm and sexual offences.
