The candidates standing in the Welwyn Hatfield constituency for the 2019 general election have been announced.
Find out who is standing, along with where to vote and the times the polling stations will be open.
Those standing in alphabetical order:
- Rosie Newbigging - Labour Party
- Oliver Sayers - Green Party
- Grant Shapps - Conservative and Unionist Party
- Paul Zukowskyj - Liberal Democrats.
You can find out more about the candidates by visiting the website Who Can I Vote For? and entering your postcode. The names of all candidates will also be posted on local authority websites and on notice boards in the area.
Registering to vote in person, by post, or by proxy
You need to register to vote by 11:59pm on Tuesday 26 November in order to be able to vote. Go to the government website and click on the green button at the bottom of the page labelled “Start Now”.
If you want to vote by post you need to register before 5pm on Tuesday 26 November.
If you’re going to be abroad on election day, you can apply to vote by proxy after you’ve registered. It takes time to vote by post from overseas.
