Local voluntary organisations and community groups providing services that “benefit the economic, environmental and/or social wellbeing of residents of the parish of North Mymms” have a month to apply for local authority grants.

North Mymms Parish Council (NMPC) says it has a limited budget and may make grants on a discretionary basis.

The council is inviting applications which need to be submitted, along with supporting information, by Monday 6 January 2020. Applications will be considered at the council meeting on Wednesday 15 January 2020.

An application form is embedded below. Details required are as follows:
  1. Name of the organisation or group
  2. Contact details: name, address, telephone number and/or email
  3. Nature of the organisation or group
  4. Number of members in the organisation or group and percentage living in the parish
  5. Amount of grant requested
  6. For what purpose or project is the grant requested?
  7. Who would benefit from the grant and approximately how many of those who would benefit are living in the parish?
  8. If the total cost of the project is more than the grant, how will the residue be financed?
  9. Current financial status (please enclose the last two year’s audited accounts) or charity number
  10. How do you intend to maintain the financial viability of your organisation or group?
NMPC says it does not normally give grants to individuals, but if a proposal is received that would “be beneficial to and in the interests of the parish” it might be considered.

Anyone applying should contact the clerk at 1a Bushwood Close, Welham Green, AL9 7YZ, or by phone on 01707 268418, or via email at clerk@northmymms.org with a completed application form.
