There’ll be no trains from Brookmans Park or Welham Green stations over the weekend of Saturday 25 January and Sunday 26 January while the latest stage of the East Coast Main Line upgrade takes place.

The closure is one of two planned over the next two months by Network Rail. The second is the weekend of Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March.

Signs have been put up at both North Mymms stations, and leaflets, explaining the reason for the work, have been left at the ticket offices at both stations (both are embedded below).

A limited bus service will be running from both Brookmans Park and Welham Green stations between 5am and 11pm, but Network Rail is advising passengers not to travel unless their journey is essential.

To check which replacement bus services are running you can zoom in on the PDF below. Hover over the image and then click the black pop-out icon to view in full-screen.

There is a website dedicated to The East Coast Main Line upgrade, which has more details of the work and why it’s taking place.
