Those wanting to comment on the proposed changes to the submitted Local Plan now have until 1 May to do so.
Last week the hearings to discuss the future of sites put forward for housing were postponed until further notice because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The sessions were due to take place from 11 to 15 May, but, according to the council they will not take place for at least three months - and the delay could be extended further.
The advice not to go ahead with the sessions was sent to all local authorities by the government as part of its “response to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)”.
Although the Stage 8 hearing sessions will not be taking place as scheduled, the inspector has confirmed that representations should still be submitted.
The deadline for hearing statements for the matters that were to be discussed at the May hearing was previously set at 5pm on Thursday 23 April; that has now been put back to 5pm on Friday 1 May.
